With My Trained Eye I Can Pull Details Out Of A Photograph

February 05, 2012 at 4:00 PM

A picture always makes a subject look better. To my trained eye, I can pull details out of a photograph such as defects as the misalignment of a bumper, grilles or doors, showing gaps, giving me a general idea how the sheet metal is fitting on the car. I have looked at a photo front shot and I will notice that one side is leaning down, the obvious result of a small fender bender that was not put back to its proper height and spacing. In many my many years as a classic car and antique truck appraiser, I have been able to look at a damaged vehicle supported with photos and be able to come up with a cost for restoring and collision damage. A quick glance on the heavier collision damages the car sustained one would quickly know whether the car was repairable or a total loss.

With your classic and antique car, it is best to have professional shots of your car documenting its condition should you have the misfortune of having it stolen or damaged.
